The 89th
Edition of the Academy Awards have finally been announced and already
the world is buzzing in anticipation for the big Awards Night. As India
awaits the LIVE Telecast
of the show on February 27th on Star Movies, Star Movies HD
and Star Movies Select HD, the nominations have showcased a
considerable amount of diversity and many surprises!
The Academy previously
announced on its social media and its website
that Oscar winners Leonardo Dicaprio, Brie Larson, Mark Rylance and
Alicia Vikander Return to the Oscars Stage. Yesterday, they added a star
studded lineup of Celebs as well to the event
with including past Oscar winners and nominees, are Halle Berry, Jamie
Dornan, Chris Evans, Gael García Bernal, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett
Johansson, Dakota Johnson, Shirley MacLaine, Kate McKinnon and Hailee
Steinfeld.
Halle Berry won an Oscar for Actress in a Leading Role for "Monster’s Ball"
Jamie
Dornan’s film credits famously include "Fifty Shades Darker" and “Fifty
Shades of Grey’Chris Evans is known for playing Captain America in
Marvel Avengers films. García Bernal’s include
the Oscar-winning films "Babel” and "The Motorcycle Diaries"
Samuel
L Jackson earned an Oscar nomination for Actor in a Supporting Role for
"Pulp Fiction" and also appeared in the Oscar-winning films "The
Hateful Eight”, "Django Unchained" and "Inglourious
Basterds".
Scarlett
Johansson appeared in the Oscar-winning features "Her”, “Vicky Cristina
Barcelona" and "Lost in Translation” .Dakota Johnson’s credits include

of Gray" and the Oscar-winning feature "The Social Network” Veteran

"Terms of Endearment" (1983). SNL star Kate McKinnon’s feature credits

Christmas Party" Hailee Steinfeld received an Oscar nomination for
Actress in a Supporting Role for "True Grit".
